Ordination and Installation

This summer has been filled with many milestones for our family and this was by far the biggest. Jason was ordained and then called to Concordia Seminary. We have waited a long time for this and so we overjoyed the day had come. Both of our families made the long trek to St. Louis too which was so special. His ordination took place at our church and then a couple of weeks later he was installed at the Seminary. The stole Jason received was made by Mom. She is an amazing woman with so many talents. It turned out perfect. We are looking forward to seeing how God can use Jason at the Seminary while he is finishing his dissertation.

So these pictures are very overdue. Life has been busy with many ups and downs. I am going to let these speak for themselves and try to do a better job on the upcoming 4 month pictures! 

  

One Month

Josiah turned one month old last week. Favorite activities include eating and being held. He is actually doing pretty good at night and is trying to keep his screaming fits to a minimum. The girls still love him to death and Hannah Kate is learning to love him. She just doesn't like it when I hold him... which is most of the time... He weighed 10 lb. 4 oz which is the most weight a Broge baby has ever gained in their first month of life so I am thankful for that. He didn't care to much for his photo session but I made him do it anyway! 

Josiah's Baptism

Josiah was baptized last Sunday. The timing couldn't have been more perfect because his godparents, the Machados, were going to be in town anyway and having them there at the actual baptism was a huge bonus. We have been very blessed to have the same pastor baptize all four of our children. He has been there for us in our happiest moments and in our scariest ones. As you can see the Machados have boys that are roughly the same age as the girls (except Samuel who is the oldest). Our dream is that somehow we can arrange a marriage between a Machado boy and a Broge girl! 

Anyway our dear small group family arranged a party for all of us after. It was wonderful to be surrounded by our St. Louis family for this occasion.
