Easter

Easter was once again a week filled with excitement and anticipation at the Broge household. This is the first year Parker and Emma Jane were able to grasp the basic concepts of Holy Week. We read over and over again the story of Jesus dying on the cross and rising again. Every time they see anything that remotely looks like a cross they tell us how Jesus died and rose again. It is awesome. The weekend started with Jason taking the Parker and Emma Jane to church on Good Friday. On Saturday we went to a huge easter egg hunt at our church which was so much fun. They have a hunt for each age group and then tons of games, dancing, food, etc. inside.
Sunday we went to early church so that we could go to the traditional service on Easter. While it was incredibly early it was so wonderful for Jason and I as we got to sing alot of hymns we grew up singing. We want the girls to have a love for hymns as we do. After church, we came home and got ready for lunch! It was a great weekend.

This is the same outfit Parker wore on her first Easter egg hunt!

Parker and Emma Jane have no idea who the Easter bunny is. When they saw this guy- they thought it was a puppy. Even after I told them its a bunny, they still keep calling it a puppy.

Dancing after the egg hunt
Her eggs were full of cheerios. She was sooooo excited
They got Beauty and the Beast and Snow White in their baskets- we won the best parents ever award... and there were skittles which they love.

Best we could do at 7:00am.

I was in smocked dress heaven!
