The First Birthday Party

This first year of Hannah Kate's life has gone by so quickly. Her birthday party was alot of fun. Her animal has always been elephants so that was the theme for the party. I saw her invitation on etsy one day and knew they would be the vision for the party. It was wonderful to have our friends and family there to celebrate with us. It was also interesting to watch Parker and Emma Jane as this was really the first time the attention was not focused on them- it really wasn't their favorite which they expressed to us in more than one way. Hannah Kate had fun I think. She wanted nothing to do with her cake (which didn't surprise me).  But she liked the icing dots on the cake so at least she ate some of it! Hannah Kate got a new trike, some balls, and her most favorite gift- her very own milk cup. Everyday for the past few months she has made it her quest to get Parker and Emma Jane's milk cup and drink as much of it as possible before she gets caught. Now that she has turned to the magical age of one, she can have all the milk she wants :) Happy Birthday Hannah Kate- we love you!

Naturally Hannah Kate had little interest in this, but Parker and Emma Jane were all to eager to help.

The Cake. By the way- its not red as it appears in the picture. Its pink I promise. 

This photo is hilarious. She was SO MAD. Hated, Hated, HATED this hat. But I had to get some pictures. 

Happy now that the hat is off and wants nothing to do with the cake :(
