Rebuttaling the rebuttal to my rebuttal

Listen! You may think you're "oh so special" because you can stick your feet in your mouth...but let me tell you something. I have made a discovery much cooler than feet. I have something in my mouth. I call it 'tongue' and I spend most of my time these days trying to get it out of my mouth. I reach in and grab and grab and grab, but 'tongue' is sneaky and wily. Every time I think I have it good and caught it slips out from between my fingers.
I've tried to sneak up on tongue. Sometimes I wait until it is busy drinking my bottle, or busy eating oatmeal, and when 'tongue' isn't looking I sneak my fingers into my mouth and grab. Unfortunately while 'tongue' does seem surprised by these sudden attacks, it also tends to be slipperier due to the milk, oatmeal, etc. (Of course slimy tongue is definitely my favorite version).
I have yet to be successful in my attempts to capture, remove, and examine 'tongue,' but fear not, I will not give up. Determined is my middle name.
err....wait, actually Parker is my middle name....you know what I mean.

a rebuttle

My sister spent the previous entry showing off her "feet" and how she can touch and "kick" them, like she's oh so special or something. Well, let me tell you, she may be better touching her feet than I am....but kicking? I invented kicking. How do you think we got out of the womb so quick? Cause of kicking.

You doubt my kicking abilities?!? Well check this out.

An annoucement from Emma Jane

See these? They're called "legs." I recently discovered them attached to my butt. They've got a really good grip on me too. I can shake and shake them and they don't seem to come off. I do this motion where I kind of flick them, I call it a kick, and they never fall off. It's a lot of fun. My newest trick is to lift them both in the air at the same time and then let them thump down on the crib. It makes a satisfying thud sound, and sends mom and dad running in.
Now I know this is a pretty amazing discovery, but I have to tell you. I have found something even better than "legs"...these:

I call them "feet." And let me tell you, they are really stuck onto my legs. I have tried absolutely everything I can think of to get them off my legs...and it just doesn't work. Today, after mom got my clothes completely off, leaving me good and flexible without that constricting diaper on, I even tried to bite them off. But no matter how much I sucked on those feet things they just stayed on. Oh well. Hopefully they will prove to be useful for something other than snacking...although I should tell you....that big wiggly thing on the end of the foot was mighty tasty.

He is Risen!

Happy Easter everyone.
Sorry the posts have been far and few between for a while. I blame Lent. Lots to do during Lent. Course, that excuse is going to seem pretty lame when the posts don't dramatically pick up in the next month, but...we'll just have to wait and see what life throws our way.
Easter morning began for the girls as it does for many kids across this nation. We hid their Easter baskets and they had to find it. The spot was pretty tricky, but with perseverance and some turning of the head...they found it.

Yesterday, as I am sure you are all aware, was Easter. As has become our custom we had "Easter at Broges" again this year. And has become our custom we invited more people then we could handle. And as become our custom we had a fantastic time. This is do in no small part to the help we had from the Luikarts. Paul and Emily came into town late Thursday night. I feel really bad, we worked them hard getting ready for the Easter Party and then their train left during the party, so they worked hard while here but really didn't get to party. Sorry guys. We love you...thanks a million times over for all the help.
This, of course, was the girls first Easter, which can only mean...Easter dresses! Now for you guys out there without daughters, let me just tell you, this is a really big deal. Almost as important as the resurrection itself. For Mary Jane there was a special significance to the whole process. Last year at Easter we were at the end of our options for getting pregnant. At the time we did not yet know Mary Jane was pregnant and were talking about adoption. Easter Sunday was hard. We went to Church, and while Mary Jane wanted to pay attention and enjoy worship, she kept seeing little girls in their little Easter dresses and thinking...I'm never going to get to have that. We ended up leaving Church a little early, because Mary Jane was so upset.
What a difference a year makes. Now she has it times two.

Emma Jane was a little shy at first, but she warmed up...

My three beautiful girls

Since the girls can't speak, they decided to wear their message.
Mesmerized by the candles...
