He is Risen!

Happy Easter everyone.
Sorry the posts have been far and few between for a while. I blame Lent. Lots to do during Lent. Course, that excuse is going to seem pretty lame when the posts don't dramatically pick up in the next month, but...we'll just have to wait and see what life throws our way.
Easter morning began for the girls as it does for many kids across this nation. We hid their Easter baskets and they had to find it. The spot was pretty tricky, but with perseverance and some turning of the head...they found it.

Yesterday, as I am sure you are all aware, was Easter. As has become our custom we had "Easter at Broges" again this year. And has become our custom we invited more people then we could handle. And as become our custom we had a fantastic time. This is do in no small part to the help we had from the Luikarts. Paul and Emily came into town late Thursday night. I feel really bad, we worked them hard getting ready for the Easter Party and then their train left during the party, so they worked hard while here but really didn't get to party. Sorry guys. We love you...thanks a million times over for all the help.
This, of course, was the girls first Easter, which can only mean...Easter dresses! Now for you guys out there without daughters, let me just tell you, this is a really big deal. Almost as important as the resurrection itself. For Mary Jane there was a special significance to the whole process. Last year at Easter we were at the end of our options for getting pregnant. At the time we did not yet know Mary Jane was pregnant and were talking about adoption. Easter Sunday was hard. We went to Church, and while Mary Jane wanted to pay attention and enjoy worship, she kept seeing little girls in their little Easter dresses and thinking...I'm never going to get to have that. We ended up leaving Church a little early, because Mary Jane was so upset.
What a difference a year makes. Now she has it times two.

Emma Jane was a little shy at first, but she warmed up...

My three beautiful girls
