Milestones!!!

Mercies continue to rain down upon us.
Rather than ruin all the fun by shouting this latest (and really great) milestone through the blog. I give you these pictures of Parker (first) and Emma Jane (second) to look at.
We think it should be obvious.
!!!!! Pretty great isn't it. It began on Friday, but I didn't want to say anything at first because I wanted to make sure it stuck. They handled things like little champs.
Here's a couple more pictures. These are taken right after bath time. Again, Parker is the first, and Emma Jane is the second picture

We love room air!!! Who needs blended flow anyway?, not the Broge babies! Jason, one request, if I may: pictures of the girls nippling? I know it's a strange request, but I'm desparate to see them attempting it! Yea, girls! Strong work, Broge babies, strong work. Girls, just keep showing that NICU what you're made of: 2 part tenacity, 3 parts breastmilk, and 5 parts God's blessings!

Well Molly....I can't make any promises but if things go as planned....let's just say I would check the blog tonight if I were you.
On that note...as a husband with a wife who is a pediatric cardiac intensive care nurse, and as a father who has babies in NICu I recognize that Molly is speaking about the babies ability to take a bottle. (just a quick note to all of you out there who might be a) a student at Salem school b) a member of my vicarage or home church c) anyone else who was really confused)

Hello beautiful Broge girls,
On behalf of Uncle Josh and Aunt Mel, welcome to the world of room air. It's wonderful eh? We hope you continue to stick around with it for the rest of your life. We are proud of your hard work and can't wait to see the next milestones!

Mary Jane,
When I saw the pic of EmJ sleeping with her arms extended over her head, I couldn't help but think of what your Uncle Bob use to say. When any of our 3 got to sleep and threw their arms back, he always said they were in a really deep sleep. Most of the time, he was righ! He was like the "baby whisperer" at our house! He had all of these theories of how to get them to sleep, keep them asleep, and get them back to sleep. You probably never knew this about your Uncle Bob! He's pretty amazing with babies.:) Love ya!
