Mom's are great!

We here in the Broge household just want to be clear: Mom's are great. In particular we would like to sing the praises of two women Penelope Broge (my mom) and Kathy Baker (Mary Jane's mom). These two women stand as shining examples of how a great mom should be. This could be a blog solely dedicated to singing the praises of these women, but it isn't. This is just one meager post, so I will have to content myself for now with saying: Thank you. Thank you Nanna (Kathy Baker) for getting here so quickly when all this began. Thank you for all the work around the house you did, thank your for your generous financial support. Thank you for your tears, your words of love and for the fact that you've already bought your plane ticket to come and visit again next week. Thank you Grandma (Penny Broge) for getting here so quickly when the girls were born. Thank you for all the work around the house you did and for your generous financial support. Thank you for being here ...right now!... and for all the icky household jobs you have volunteered to do.

Our children are blessed to have you two as their grandmothers. Thank you.

Update on the girls will come later tonight after I get back from the hospital (has tended to be after 10 before the posts get up here). I will include some pictures, and if all of you are good (and if we get to bestbuy this weekend to buy the cable we need to get the video from the camera to the computer) I will post some video of the girls this weekend.

I just happened across your blog, and I couldn't help but think of a very good friend who had her twin boys on Feburary 4th, at 26 weeks and 1 day. The boys were 2 lbs. and 1 lb. 13 oz. at birth. Today they are each almost 14 lbs! I thought that their blog could offer a small glimmer of hope.

God Bless you and yours.

I agree. Moms are great! And Kathy and Penny are wonderful moms!

Speaking of moms, Mary Jane is already a wonderful mom as well! Yay for moms!
